I walked in TELFAR’s 20th Anniversary show in New York City—a moment that marked both my first runway and a rare return to the place that raised me. Growing up in Brooklyn, Telfar was woven into the everyday: logos in school hallways, conversations in classrooms, a brand that felt close long before fashion ever did. Stepping into their first show in nearly five years felt like a quiet full-circle moment, shaped by familiarity and reinvention at once.

Being part of the process—seeing the creative direction, the collaboration, the precision behind the scenes—was its own education, offering a perspective far beyond the runway itself. The show’s resonance, echoed later in coverage from Vogue, The New York Times, and Harper’s Bazaar, made the experience feel even more unreal, and all the more defining.
