Black Business is a creative project developed for Diaspora Magazine, celebrating African Americans who move through the business world with drive, resilience, and their own distinct style. The concept blends streetwear with traditional business attire, using juxtaposition to highlight the full spectrum of hustle—from corporate ambition to creative entrepreneurship.
Shot for the magazine’s fourth issue, the project reflects Diaspora’s mission as a student-led platform for Black students at UC Berkeley, capturing stories that sit at the intersection of culture, identity, and expression. Through styling, casting, and visual direction, Black Business frames professionalism through a contemporary lens—bold, individual, and rooted in lived experience.
